Description

Yamaha P45 Portable Digital Piano Pictured with optional L85 stand. The new Yamaha P45 88-key weighted action digital piano is the newest member of the Yamaha P Series pianos. It has a contemporary design with a small footprint that allows for easy portability and storage.

The Yamaha P45 replaces the current model, P35. It features Yamaha's AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) sampling, which uses digital technology to record an instrument's sound. AWM Stereo Sampling creates a deeper, richer and more spacious sound by using pairs of waveforms captured with two microphones.

The P45 features the Yamaha GHS Graded Hammer Standard piano action that provides a heavier touch on the lower keys, while the higher ones are more responsive to lighter playing, very similar to a traditional acoustic piano. The keyboard's sensitivity can even be adjusted to match your playing style.

MIDI Out ports get you connected to older keyboards that might have the sound you're looking for, but lack that weighted piano touch. Use an optional MIDI interface to connect to a computer or iPad for a variety of music Apps.

Authentic to the touch

Yamaha's GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) weighted action has heavier touch in the low end and lighter touch in the high end, just like the hammers inside an acoustic piano. Great for the aspiring pianist, practicing on the GHS action builds the proper finger technique for when the time comes to perform on an acoustic piano. Plus the matte finish of the black keys are less slippery when playing for extended periods of time.

Tried and true, Yamaha's classic sound engine for realistic tone

AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) sampling uses digital technology to record the sound of an acoustic piano. AWM Stereo Sampling creates a deeper, richer and more spacious sound by using pairs of waveforms (L and R) captured with two microphones. The P-45 uses AWM to play one sample per key at varying levels of volume and timbre.

A compact and lightweight design makes it easy to get around

Slim and stylish form with a depth of less than 12 inches, the P-45 requires little space. At only 25 lbs. with a built-in sound system, it can be easily moved anywhere in your home or even used for performance outside.

Simple, single-button operation

Various P-45 settings can be changed with a single button. Hold down the "GRAND PIANO/FUNCTION" button and press the keyboard to change Voices, play demo sources, configure the metronome and more.

Store Information

Keyboard Corner was established in the late 1970's. The store had fairly modest beginnings, with a small corner shop, selling mainly organs and pianos. Over the decades our product range expanded greatly.

In the mid 90's we opened KC's Rock Shop, (Keyboard Corner's Rock Shop) to give us the ability to specialize in items other than keyboard based instruments. The two shops are now merged into one building with over 250 square metres of showroom.

December 2012 saw the opening of our specialised drum store, at 15 Erica Ave, just a 1 minute walk from the main store. With a great range of electric and acoustic kits, heads, percussion, cymbals, sticks and accessories we are well worth a visit.

We carry a huge range of everything musical and have specialised departments for pianos, keyboards, digital pianos, sheet music, electric guitars, amplifiers, acoustic guitars, bass guitars, classical guitars, PA gear, home recording, microphones, drums and more.

We have become one of the largest musical instrument suppliers in Melbournes suburbs, and have established a reputation of offering the best advice and service, while still offering great value pricing.
