Description

DISPLAY STOCK, IN GREAT CONDITION. INCLUDES: HEADPHONES CABLE ONLY. BOX MISSING, BUT CAN BE SAFELY PACKED SHIPPED, IF REQUIRED. CHECKED BY: TOM (SYDNEY), NICK (RICHMOND), GERARD (FITZROY), TONY (BRISBANE) BADEN (PERTH).

Available in black or silver, the HDJ-2000MK2s maintain their predecessors classic look and premium, robust build. DJs comfort is assured during even marathon sets; the ear pads feature urethane memory foam ear pads and leather-feel covers, while a lightweight, adjustable headband and rotatable housings support multiple monitoring styles.

Plus with a premium hard carry case, foldable structure and two detachable cords (coiled and straight), the HDJ-2000MK2 headphones are compact, portable and durable enough to fit the lifestyle of even the most demanding pro-DJ.

The HDJ-2000MK2s are designed for dance music, with a 38 m-thick diaphragm, 50 mm drivers, and precision-rolled voice coil to ensure outstanding resolution and high-fidelity frequency response of 5 Hz to 30,000 Hz. Distortion is eliminated even at top volumes thanks to a robust build and the capacity for 3,500 mW of input.

Innovative low-volume air chambers provide maximum insulation, reducing external noise in the mid to low frequencies (300 Hz to 1,600 Hz) by 7 dB compared to the original HDJ-2000s. This and the ear pads damper and airtight stitching ensure clarity for ease-of-monitoring without needing to crank up the volume in loud clubs.

The HDJ-2000MK2s have been carefully designed to maximise DJs comfort. A thinner, lightweight magnesium alloy is used on the headband and hanger to reduce pressure on the DJs head. Ear pads made with soft synthetic leather and low-rebound urethane memory foam ensure a snug fit for ultimate comfort and sound quality.

The HDJ-2000MK2s come with a custom-designed hard zip up carry case for added protection on the road. The cases internal pockets are the perfect place to store the two provided cables (one 1.6 m straight and one 1.2 m curled cord) and 6.3 mm jack.

Each ear cup swivels by 90 degrees to support various styles of monitoring, and the auto-return feature makes them ideal for DJs who prefer on-the-shoulder monitoring. One-ear monitoring is a breeze with the headphones flexible headband. And a lock mechanism holds a DJs preferred style to stop unwanted movement during use.

An L-type mini-jack stops the headphones getting knocked or disconnected during performance, even in cramped booths. At the headphone end, a detachable mini-XLR connector means cables can easily be removed for transit or replaced if damaged. Plus, the foldable structure makes the headphones easy to transport between gigs.

THE HISTORY OF MANNYS

When you shop at Mannys you don’t just get the gear, you get the knowledge and expertise of 25 years of experience as one of Australia’s most influential independent music retailers.

In the beginning…

After managing the Allan’s city store for 10 years, an ambitious Manny Gauci-Seddon decided to open his own music store. He wanted his shop to uphold the values of true support and after-sales service, and to form genuine ongoing relationships with his customer base. The trends of the industry at that time were pointing to more of a disposable, corporate mentality and so in the early years he set out to make a name for himself as a serious independent alternative.

The first store was a funky shop in Smith Street, Collingwood in 1991. By 1998 Manny had outgrown this store and saw the need to focus more on the upcoming computer based recording revolution. He established an address in Johnson St Fitzroy as the arts were booming on the north side of the city. In the same year the opportunity came to acquire a business on Chapel St – the Revolver Music Gallery. With a two store operation Manny was now making the difference he set out to 7 years earlier. The Mannys brand was known for knowledge and service, with the staff greatly sought after for their experience. Unlike the other major players, the focus was not just on sales but also on the process of making music.

When the opportunity came to consolidate into one superstore, the North Fitzroy address seemed perfect for the move. Manny wanted to expand his customer base to include more of the musicians turning to the internet due to the lacklustre service of his competitors. He took the best from both stores and moved his operation to the hub of music and musicians just north of the city.

In November 2016 Mannys was sold to SoundBay Pty Ltd, the operator of Australia’s largest DJ and production retailer, Store DJ. While the essence of Mannys Music will always exist, our mission for Mannys Music moving forward is to ensure that we continue to build the ultimate experience for our customers online or in store. Our sales staff remain knowledgeable, professional musicians first and sales people second. Mannys Music gives you one hub to purchase all of your gear, and if we don’t have it, we’ll try our hardest to get it for you.

Mannys – The best advice you can give a musician.
