Description

Everything you need to start a Moog modular set-up is right here. Compose emotive analog percussion lines with the DFAM and layer those with raw bass and lead sounds from two Mother 32's. Because these are semi-modular units you can combine them using the patch bays, for extra sound design possibilities or just use them as stand-alone instruments. The Mother 32 and DFAM were designed to work hand-in-hand and combining them gives you their full sonic potential.

Package Contains: 2 x Moog Mother-32 Tabletop Semi-Modular Analogue Synth
1 x Moog DFAM Drummer From Another Mother Analogue Percussion Synthesizer
Moog Mother-32 DFAM Three-Tier Rack Stand
Moog Mother Cables 5 x 6" Modular Synth Patch Cables
Moog Mother Cables 5x 12" Modular Synth Patch Cables

The Moog Mother-32 is a tabletop semi-modular synthesiser from Moog. It is a distinctive analogue instrument that adds raw analogue sound, sequencing and extensive interconnectivity to any electronic or modular ecosystem. This expansive live performance and production instrument is handcrafted in Asheville, NC and has been meticulously designed to provide musicians with a diverse array of creative tools to inspire new music, unique sound and endless sonic exploration. This pack contains two Mother 32's, to give you an even bigger range of synthesis possibilities!

Drummer From Another Mother (DFAM) is a highly-interactive, Semi-Modular Analog Percussion Synthesizer and a vibrant deviation from the traditional drum machine. Handcrafted in Asheville, NC by the employee-owners at the Moog Factory, DFAM is the first addition to the Mother-32 family of synthesizers and presents an expressive hands-on approach to percussive pattern creation. It requires no patching, and absolutely no experience is needed for human-beings of any age to quickly begin synthesizing new and unique rhythmic compositions.

Also included is the Moog Three-Tier rack stand, which will allow you to mount the three Moog synthesisers together vertically for increased modularity and synthesis capabilities. The pack also features additional patch cables on top of the cables that already ship with both units, allowing you to make more connections via the modular patch bays.

THE HISTORY OF MANNYS

When you shop at Mannys you don’t just get the gear, you get the knowledge and expertise of 25 years of experience as one of Australia’s most influential independent music retailers.

In the beginning…

After managing the Allan’s city store for 10 years, an ambitious Manny Gauci-Seddon decided to open his own music store. He wanted his shop to uphold the values of true support and after-sales service, and to form genuine ongoing relationships with his customer base. The trends of the industry at that time were pointing to more of a disposable, corporate mentality and so in the early years he set out to make a name for himself as a serious independent alternative.

The first store was a funky shop in Smith Street, Collingwood in 1991. By 1998 Manny had outgrown this store and saw the need to focus more on the upcoming computer based recording revolution. He established an address in Johnson St Fitzroy as the arts were booming on the north side of the city. In the same year the opportunity came to acquire a business on Chapel St – the Revolver Music Gallery. With a two store operation Manny was now making the difference he set out to 7 years earlier. The Mannys brand was known for knowledge and service, with the staff greatly sought after for their experience. Unlike the other major players, the focus was not just on sales but also on the process of making music.

When the opportunity came to consolidate into one superstore, the North Fitzroy address seemed perfect for the move. Manny wanted to expand his customer base to include more of the musicians turning to the internet due to the lacklustre service of his competitors. He took the best from both stores and moved his operation to the hub of music and musicians just north of the city.

In November 2016 Mannys was sold to SoundBay Pty Ltd, the operator of Australia’s largest DJ and production retailer, Store DJ. While the essence of Mannys Music will always exist, our mission for Mannys Music moving forward is to ensure that we continue to build the ultimate experience for our customers online or in store. Our sales staff remain knowledgeable, professional musicians first and sales people second. Mannys Music gives you one hub to purchase all of your gear, and if we don’t have it, we’ll try our hardest to get it for you.

Mannys – The best advice you can give a musician.
