Improving on its predecessor, the original Mic Mechanic, Mic Mechanic 2 is a compact vocal toolbox in a easy-to-use pedal. As your personal sound engineer, Mic Mechanic 2 provides time-tested tone and effects you can take anywhere to always sound your best.

Reverb simulates a physical space, allowing your voice to fit into the music perfectly. Whether its something small like a room or large like a concert hall, Mic Mechanic 2s vocally tuned reverb compliments your voice and enhances every performance. Echo (the effect formally known as delay) allows you to add repeats of your vocals, timed with your music. This cool effect helps your vocals really gel with the song. Whether you choose a lot of repeats, repeats, repeats or just a few, youre in control. Mic Mechanic 2 also allows you to set the tempo via the footswitch, so its as easy as tapping your foot in time with the music.

Were all human and nobody hits every note perfectly. Nobody. With transparent auto-chromatic pitch correction, MM2 nudges your pitch to the nearest semitone. It wont turn a potato into a spaceship, but it can give you a little support when you need it most. Mucking about with mic gain can be a real hassle, especially if youre in a hurry or at a new and unfamiliar venue. Mic Mechanic 2 automatically sets your mic gain, so you never have to worry whether things are set correctly.

Adaptive EQ (equalization), compression, de-ess, and gate automatically control the timbre and shape of your vocal, ensuring that every note you sing is clean and clear. Because when the crowd can hear what youre singing, they can sing along and there is nothing is better than that! Sometimes its just not feasible to find a power outlet when youre performing. That doesnt mean you should be without your Mic Mechanic 2! It can be powered by 4 AA batteries (not included) in addition to the optional 9V adapter.

THE HISTORY OF MANNYS

When you shop at Mannys you don’t just get the gear, you get the knowledge and expertise of 25 years of experience as one of Australia’s most influential independent music retailers.

In the beginning…

After managing the Allan’s city store for 10 years, an ambitious Manny Gauci-Seddon decided to open his own music store. He wanted his shop to uphold the values of true support and after-sales service, and to form genuine ongoing relationships with his customer base. The trends of the industry at that time were pointing to more of a disposable, corporate mentality and so in the early years he set out to make a name for himself as a serious independent alternative.

The first store was a funky shop in Smith Street, Collingwood in 1991. By 1998 Manny had outgrown this store and saw the need to focus more on the upcoming computer based recording revolution. He established an address in Johnson St Fitzroy as the arts were booming on the north side of the city. In the same year the opportunity came to acquire a business on Chapel St – the Revolver Music Gallery. With a two store operation Manny was now making the difference he set out to 7 years earlier. The Mannys brand was known for knowledge and service, with the staff greatly sought after for their experience. Unlike the other major players, the focus was not just on sales but also on the process of making music.

When the opportunity came to consolidate into one superstore, the North Fitzroy address seemed perfect for the move. Manny wanted to expand his customer base to include more of the musicians turning to the internet due to the lacklustre service of his competitors. He took the best from both stores and moved his operation to the hub of music and musicians just north of the city.

In November 2016 Mannys was sold to SoundBay Pty Ltd, the operator of Australia’s largest DJ and production retailer, Store DJ. While the essence of Mannys Music will always exist, our mission for Mannys Music moving forward is to ensure that we continue to build the ultimate experience for our customers online or in store. Our sales staff remain knowledgeable, professional musicians first and sales people second. Mannys Music gives you one hub to purchase all of your gear, and if we don’t have it, we’ll try our hardest to get it for you.

Mannys – The best advice you can give a musician.
