Description

DISPLAY STOCK, IN GREAT CONDITION. INCLUDES: UNITS POWER CABLES ONLY. CHECKED BY: BILL (SYDNEY).

The Pioneer S-DJ60X is an active reference monitor set with powerful bass and wide response that is ideal for dance music.

In addition to using highly rigid MDF*1 for the enclosure and bass reflex duct parts, the woofer units are directly mounted on extremely thick MDF inner baffles (5-inch/6-inch: max 30mm thickness, 8-inch: max 33mm thickness), which limits unnecessary resonance and produces a powerful bass sound.

As well as a front bass reflex system that outputs powerful bass from the front of the speaker, grooves are installed in the bass reflex duct parts to improve air flow with Groove Technology that smoothly emits low frequency sounds from the front of the speaker. This makes it possible to output strong drum kick and bass sounds. The design also features other details making these speakers ideal for dance music, including round processing inside the ducts to reduce noise.

Tweeters have been installed with convex diffusers using DECO technology from the TAD Labs*3 TAD Pro TSM-2201-LR monitor speaker as used in professional studios. The convex diffuser partitions mid-range sound into left, right and upper regions, which ensures a wide sweet spot and 3D stereo. The diffuser also features an arc-shaped white illumination in the style of an expanse of sound.

High response and powerful music performance is achieved with woofer cones made from aramid fiber, which is lightweight and highly rigid, and strong magnetic circuits using large-aperture magnets. Soft dome tweeters use magnetic fluid in the magnetic circuit, which results in balanced, wide-reaching high frequencies.

Well-balanced frequency response across all regions is achieved thanks to a newly design Class AB bi-amps adopted in the tweeter and woofer units.

THE HISTORY OF MANNYS

When you shop at Mannys you don’t just get the gear, you get the knowledge and expertise of 25 years of experience as one of Australia’s most influential independent music retailers.

In the beginning…

After managing the Allan’s city store for 10 years, an ambitious Manny Gauci-Seddon decided to open his own music store. He wanted his shop to uphold the values of true support and after-sales service, and to form genuine ongoing relationships with his customer base. The trends of the industry at that time were pointing to more of a disposable, corporate mentality and so in the early years he set out to make a name for himself as a serious independent alternative.

The first store was a funky shop in Smith Street, Collingwood in 1991. By 1998 Manny had outgrown this store and saw the need to focus more on the upcoming computer based recording revolution. He established an address in Johnson St Fitzroy as the arts were booming on the north side of the city. In the same year the opportunity came to acquire a business on Chapel St – the Revolver Music Gallery. With a two store operation Manny was now making the difference he set out to 7 years earlier. The Mannys brand was known for knowledge and service, with the staff greatly sought after for their experience. Unlike the other major players, the focus was not just on sales but also on the process of making music.

When the opportunity came to consolidate into one superstore, the North Fitzroy address seemed perfect for the move. Manny wanted to expand his customer base to include more of the musicians turning to the internet due to the lacklustre service of his competitors. He took the best from both stores and moved his operation to the hub of music and musicians just north of the city.

In November 2016 Mannys was sold to SoundBay Pty Ltd, the operator of Australia’s largest DJ and production retailer, Store DJ. While the essence of Mannys Music will always exist, our mission for Mannys Music moving forward is to ensure that we continue to build the ultimate experience for our customers online or in store. Our sales staff remain knowledgeable, professional musicians first and sales people second. Mannys Music gives you one hub to purchase all of your gear, and if we don’t have it, we’ll try our hardest to get it for you.

Mannys – The best advice you can give a musician.
